Rock’n WP Ranch Reservoir/Lake 4

Rock’n WP Ranch Reservoir, also known as Lake 4 (view on GoogleMaps), is a water storage reservoir that can hold up to 600 acre-feet of water used as part of the District’s augmentation program. The reservoir is located south of St. Vrain Creek and west of 61st street between Lyons and Longmont. The reservoir and its water storage right is jointly owned by Boulder County Parks and Open Space and the District.

Copeland Reservoir

The District owns Copeland Reservoir and 100 acre-feet of water decreed to the reservoir for use in the District’s augmentation program. The District has an annually-renewed lease with the National Park Service to manage the property in keeping with neighboring Rocky Mountain National Park.

Colorado-Big Thompson Water

The District owns 259 units of Colorado-Big Thompson Project water. These units are leased annually to local farmers or local domestic water providers to help supplement water supply in the valleys we serve.

To help our members offset and replace water depletions, we own a number of shares in local ditch companies, including:

  • One share of Longmont Supply Ditch Company
  • One share of Bonus Ditch Company
  • 0.75 share of Oligarchy Ditch Company
  • One share of Lake McIntosh Reservoir Company
  • 95 shares of Left Hand Ditch Company
